everybody should and could enjoy bodyvivi right.. :-D
hell I’m the only bodyshaper in my gym and loving it…
come to think of it.. bodyvivi would also be a great LM introduction class for
people who don’t sport at all, and/or, are over weight…
all in all.. this will probably be another successful LM class

A 20 year old does not know how a 40 + > bodymoves and what is achievable and possible at the age group identified they are trying to get back to do the programs.
Thats a personal viewpoint but the 40 + need to have a program for us and targets our age group and thats how I see it as I am in the demographic they are targeting.
IMHO!

The whole program is targeted at the 40 > population (Baby Boomers Generation X etc who have be disfanchised from main stream aerobics.) if they see someone in their 20's teaching it they might get more disfranchised from the whole process.
I am looking forward to seeing the new program

People who have never been pregnant still teach pregnant participants.
I teach males in my classes, and not once have I experienced what it feels like to be a boy.
The class isn't even limited to as set age bracket. It may be targeted at the 40+ age group, but I am sure many others will attend and enjoy it.
I am only 23 and I would consider instructing it.
When you are up there teaching it is about your participants, not you.
I have no idea how half my class feels when I teach step. I can try and guess, but really, it is only a guess.
I think you underestimante peoples ability, incate.

In saying this I meant it specifically in relation to myself. I agree with the following, that a younger person may suit the program extremely well too!!!

Hell, I am the only male, 17 year old instructor of BodyStep in Australia! And i think my class results show that I'm a damn good instructor too!

Special, I agree. My whole class is normally full of women, and at least two weeks in a month there will be a pregnant woman in my class. I have and never will understand what it is to be like a woman or a pregnant woman at that.
The only people that we know and understand are ourselves. Each individual has different and specific needs, we as Les Mills instructors are there to guide them through the program, and each release. We are accepting of anyone no matter what age, phsyical condition, gender, race or sexuality. We see people through their weekest hour, we are the lucky ones that can change someone's life, and we feel the success of a transformation in a person. Not just anybody has that special privilege that we do, only the special talented and passionate individuals. If there is a 17 year old that can teach BodyVive in the essence then what it should be, and 'creates life changing fitness experiences" and a 40 year old that knows how a 40 year old moves, and teaches poorly. Then I'm for the 17 year old, the better instructor.

I think it is dependent upon the instructors personality - if they are able to connect with the class - then age shouldnt matter...
They just need to have a mature mind!!! :-)
