I made the mistake of asking class "Do you want MORE???" during Stomp! and an agonized "NO" rung out. I burst out laughing and told them that they had to answer in Pump lingo, and in Pump language, Wooohooo is the equivalent of No.

I use things like "Lock and Load" for dead rows, "bring on the sting" for the last set of anything, and their favorite "pushups are our friends!!" I like the last one, because when there is heaps of pushups I can point out that we are reaaaaally popular!
In the squat track, I've used "Stick your butt out like you are mooning someone. Not that I would know what that's like...*innocent look*"

I love the warm up in 66, it's just rich with opportunity to use song specific motivational cues. "Muscles thirsty for change" "Set your expectations" "Rise to the demand" etc.

We have a Pump instructor here, who often says during the Lunge track
"Are your legs burning? - Do I need to call the fire department"?
it makes me laugh sometimes, but it is very motivating

another

I was going to say another Pump instructor sometimes says during the back track, when we've just done 2 lots of triple rows
"What comes after 3? SEVEN!"
"people who think they know everything really annoy those of us who do"

I know this is an old thread but I found this thread to be one of the greatest and most helpful. I took some of these back to my own classes - I do have to be careful what I say, however, because I teach at the YMCA.

I had to add this, as it made the whole class ROLF during lunges:

Instructor: "ah lunges, it's times like this I wish I only had one leg........oh God, I really should think before I speak!"

It certainly made the lunge track more bearable for me! :)
"If you're not IN, you're IN THE WAY!"

We have an instructor that said to us once in a BP class. Imagine that it would be your last BP class, what would you do?

Really motivating then!
