Inspired by the post by carousingravnos I felt we should start an ongoing "inspirational cues thread, where we can share great cues with each other:

carousingravnos said:

my instructor always says: you socks are named trouble and worry, you take them off for this class. and its so true. aside from the wonderful workout, i feel so renewed and energised and ready to wear my socks again afterwards.

This is a chance to share funny cues, feeling cues, crap cues etc. You get the drift. I was original going to create a "funniest" cues thread, but thought it better to make a general ongoing topic.

So to start off with, here's one for Standing strength from BB26, and in fact, I sometimes take it into other releases now.

When the lyrics of the song go "all the answers will unfold"
I say "all the answers are right here, right NOW...........in that thigh - yeah?"

Wow a thread started by something I said!

I particularly remember one for BB24 for So Amazing, I hope you recognize which part it is for: Wave your flag. Savor your victory.

At first I was like 'that was cheesy' but it eventually etched itself into my subconscious and I feel great doing it.

ha, that one reminds me of when I have males in the class. Usually there's rarely more than 2-3 males, so I say "mermaids" and "Mer-Garth" or "Mer-Nathan" or whatever their name is :P

here's another, I've gone back to doing Sun Sals from BB21 "we're all beautiful":

"Warning for those of you who are used to the normal Sun Sals, THIS one is a little bit different. It's non-symmetrical.........especially when I stuff it up"

always makes them laugh :D

Before track 4, I usually say something like, "Maintain your focus, but keep your sense of humor"
Track 5..."don't push your- limits, surrender to them"
How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.

In some of our warmup tracks, esp those with "hold the heaven" breath swings, I will use "feel the weight of the world as you lift it, then just let it go, what do you need to let go of to be truly HERE right now?"  One of my male participants shouted, "My Wife", we all fell apart laughing as she was standing right next to him.....

I can't believe that the best one haven't been posted here yet.

(shame on you EuroMaddnes-bunch !  :P )

BB class starts, dimmed light, relaxing music and a soft voice states:

' in the corner is a bucket, put your worries and concerns and take them with you after class, or just leave them here...'

(or something like that...)

o, the instructor who dropped this introduction in his bb class...?

You all know him as the incredible....Namaste201

There were cues I heard some instructors use..

Tai Chi Warm Up : Porcelain, standing shoulder circles "Like a flower blooming"

Back track, Upper Locust or Lower Locust, "Like a chewing gum stretched, soft in the middle"

Meditation , "Think about your loved ones, your family, your friends, the  joy they bring, allow it to bring a smile"

Back track, Countin On A Miracle, prone arm pulse "Pat the kittens!" (By the way, this was my cue during my training.. haha)

Okay, I think I missed some personal jokes in there....
I'm thinking or some good lines but only the dodgy ones are coming to mind.
In balance I find some people get a little despondant and I was tryin got really reassure people.  So I say " take your options guys, they all work the body and mind.  Take it anyway you want it....!!!!"
How embarrassment!!!!
Any other funny ones??
