BODYBALANCE® 48 is a journey towards peace. This release will lead you from the epic battle of Ben-Hur, through protest and reflection, and finally into deep understanding and awareness of your body and the world around you. We’ll begin with a sword-dance inspired by the Love Theme From Ben Hur, and then sink more deeply into our breath than we’ve ever gone before in the Sun Salutations Track. The Balance Track feels like a massive hug – you’ll understand once you experience this track. You’ll then expand your hip horizons with the 3-Legged Down Dog with open hip in Track 5. Find your beat in the Core – Abdominals Track. Here’s your chance to break out of the BODYBALANCE® mold and beat your protesting drums on the floor. We are One Tribe! Begin to wind down into calm to the emotional Before The Worst. Then fall even further with Kelly Clarkson’s Already Gone, before experiencing the phenomenal beauty of our remake of Moby’s Study War. The meditation to Wildflowers asks for true reflection on the joy already present in our lives – the perfect note on which to end the class.
Do what you like.
Like what you do.

I'm really looking forward to BB48. I found BB47 one of the best recent releases (I won't forget the balance or core tracks for a long time!). I've got high expectations, so hope I'm not disappointed :)

Hello everybody,

I was looking in my choreo notes and especially track 9. The last part is in Maori and in my notes only the first line has been translated....unfortunately...Does any one have the entire translation???

I hope you can help me!

This release is -once again- really beautifull!!! Can't wait to be teaching it in april!

love Lonneke

I've done this release a couple of times now, and I'm really not getting this release. I don't like the swords, and in my current unfit state it is just so hard. My leg almost totally cramps up in the standing strength, and the constant holding up the sword in the tai chi is painful in my shoulders.

Happened to participate in BC47 today and although I've only done this release once, I loved it. Dunno if it's just me, but something is wrong with 48 for me.

I've done BB48 twice now, and I think that overall it is a more challenging workout than BB47, especially in standing strength (my quads are really feeling it today). The sword theme I think works quite well, and gives some variation to the usual tai chi warmup. I really like the transition from hamstrings to relaxation - I was totally ready for it by then! The music may not be as memorable as BB47, but to be honest I was too busy concentrating on the choreography to properly focus on the music :)
