Taping for Certification does make me feel physically sick with nerves. I'm taping next tuesday morning at a "fill-in" class (eek!). Have to do this as my permanent class is at night, and the room has no 'down-lights', so it becomes too dark for the camera.
Any tips? Am I expected to be perfect in technique?
I am really freaking here because I trained last January (on 43) and have only just got a permanent class now. I've only done about 8 fill-in classes since training as the Balance classes just dried up. Are they going to expect brilliance after all that time?

Hello-
Let me give you some tips from an ex assessor for LMI.
One, CONGRATULATIONS!
Now, make sure you know, live and breathe the coaching skills you were given in your training.
Knowing and executing the choreography correctly is important.
Technique skills are up there. Breathing is KEY! Cue the breathing as it is shown in your choreography notes.
Even after all the time that has passes, your assessor will be looking for the "magic" in your teaching, your ability to connect with your class, and showing and cuing the options.
In short, know your stuff, be your best, light some fires, and above all, have fun!
