I have been doing BP for a year now but I notice that lately, I am developing this stiff left arm. I notice that when I do full bicep curl, my front arm tends to get stiff (on the later part of the track) thus forcing me to stop from time to time. My biceps can still go on but my front arm really stops me. I tried openng my grip a little bit on the final 1/4 phase of the upward curl but I don't think it helps. Any advice?

Sorry you haven't had a reply thus far. I think you posted the same question on the LM.com forum and got some answers there.

My take would be that your forearm muscles are just lagging behind your biceps in terms of endurance and strength. This would be especially true if you are increasing weights steadily. In time they will catch up.

I also get tight forearms during the biceps track from time to time. Relaxing the grip at the top of each curl as you've been doing will help somewhat. You should also try doing this for the other tracks that require a good grip on the bar. For example there is a tempation to hold too tight during squats and chest if you're working hard, whereas the correct technique should be a loose grip. Similarly for Back, try to release the grip a little at the top of each C&P might help too.

Yep, I posted the same question at LM.com... Thanks for the information, I will give them a try. Right now, I have been holding the plates when doing the biceps which help a lot.
