Personally, I would never get off of my bike and go turn up the resistance on a member's bike, but that's me. I know of other instructors who would not hesitate to turn up someone's resistance.

When I see a member using no resistance, I give them "the look" - I stare at them and yell "TURN IT UP - to the right"! All I can do is encourage them to work hard. At the end of the day, it's their workout and they choose how hard they want to work (or not work).

Personally it is their bike, their ride! They are responsbile.

As an instructor I am only a guide... I would never turn another partipants bike up!

Maybe Try telling them HOW it should feel rather than turn it up! Some people respond more to feelings than being told what to do!

At the end of the day it is there ride and how do I know that isnt there limit.... also if they are new they might not even know how a moutain should feel.

Cheers
