Are you ready for a total-body Martial Arts experience? Because that’s what BODYCOMBAT® 41 is all about – the theme is Backyard Brawl and you’ll be chiselled into the ultimate fighting machine! The extended Warm Up prepares you for the workout ahead and includes the Jab, Cross, Bob Combo. Sing along to Kelly Clarkson’s My Life Would Suck Without You during the lower body workout before the first fight is ignited in Track 2 with the Treble Elbow/Double Knee Combo. Track 3 is all about the contrast between speed and power. Watch out for the onslaught that is Track 4 which features new move the Double-Handed Plyo Push. This track combines two songs – Enter Sandman and P.O.D’s Boom and gives you the feeling of two totally different workouts. It’s an opportunity to show what you’ve got, ready or not! Flush your legs and spike your heart rate in Track 5 with three rounds of boxing – Running is the feature here. Tae Kwon Do is in the house in Track 6 – you’ve got four opponents with the secret being to strike like a cobra. The rawness of the most lethal Martial Art – Muay Thai – is explored in Track 7 before you hit the fatigue wall in Track 8. You can’t go over it, you can’t go under it – you just have to punch through it! Flo Rida feat. Ke$ha will spin you Right Round in Track 9 while your abs are blasted with the Circle Situp. New stretch, the Downward Dog, is introduced in Track 10 and really gets into the hamstrings and the backs of the legs. Beyoncé’s Halo is the perfect Cooldown Track after the Backyard Brawl that is BODYCOMBAT® 41.
Do what you like.
Like what you do.

Have finished learning the chorey now, just have to script, and will be ready to launch next Mon morning. Have a few timing issues, but they are not as bad as track 4 in BC40  I found it pretty easy to learn, so that's a big thumbs up for me!

Have just heard what I think to be the music for bc41 from an unofficial source....the only doubt I have in my mind being that track 5 is only 3 mins and 3 secs long. Im assuming this must repeat on the left side
Other than that it looks about right.

No, it's 3:03mins, but all movement. The timing trouble I'd been having with the release came in the lower body warm-up and track 4. I had been 'hesitating' a little ](*,) Once I stopped the slight 'hesitation' and just went into the next move, no problems :great:

I am REALLY looking forward to releasing this one on Monday morning.

Now, Body Balance on the other hand, I'm still 'hesitating' attempting to learn that yet :-,

I launched 41 this morning, with NO FREAKING MICROPHONE yet again!! :x

I so wanted to give them coaching and motivational cues, but could only just cue it  CRC went out the window as I had no voice to do anything other than call the moves. My hand signals must have been quite comical.

I am absolutely devastated. Yes, the participants said how much they enjoyed the release, but I wanted to "slam" it home, rather than introduce it at a "whisper". Just feel like crying...

Damn those gyms that won't spend money on Group Fitness :( Very galling, especially when you look around the $2 million 'refit' and see the money spent on machines and cardio equipment. And then you rock up to the 'heart' of the club (Group fitness studio), and see the crappy, out-of-date, falling apart rubbish, the instructors are forced to work with ](*,)

Sorry, side vent, got carried away

Sorry to hear about the mic issues Placebo. I also got sick of gyms that wouldn't invest in replacement mics for instructors. Basically I put my foot down and simply wouldn't teach if there was no mic.

I only had to do it twice, the first time I never went back to the gym again. Only lost 2 classes, no great loss. The second gym that it happened at, the manager said if I didn't teach my classes then I wouldn't have classes to come back to. I said that I didn't do bribery, and considering the mic had been broken at the headpiece for 3 weeks they should have looked into replacing it sooner. I got asked not to come back again, but then the participants put in a petition asking for me back and I returned there again.

I think gyms get away with too much, not providing mics for instructors. It's an Occ Health and Safety issue in my opinion, so if you can afford to take a stand, go for it I say! If you can't afford to lose the classes, then the gym will probably continue to get away with it unfortunately :(

Well, how amazing. I gave a weeks notice due to the problems with the sound system. Some of the other instructors also gave notice. Rock up Mon morning (complete with insulation tape to ensure the mic connector stays connected ;) ) and the gym has invested in a new microphone. They are also in the process of buying a whole new sound and speaker system. So pleased!

Combat 41 went off! Man, everyone was a bucket of sweat at the end. You know it's a good release when everyone still has sweat dripping off their nose whilst doing the final cooldown KATAs. A couple of the participants were telling me how much they loved the music (even the tough track 4). They were all yelling "Boom, here comes the boom!"

I am literally dripping with sweat myself. I think it's because the moves aren't overly complex, and participants don't have to think too much about them, so once participants know what's coming, you can just coach and motivate to get more out of everyone.

This is a great release in my opinion :great: And you know, it's all about me...

We've finally launched here and I'm teaching combat 41 for the second time tonight. I absolutely love track 2 and 4...........but I'm glad track 5 is only around 3 minutes long. More "cheese" for track 5, sigh. I think I have to go back to about release 28 to find a track 5 that I like now.

The warmup is ok, but not a standout one IMO. Track 6 is good, cool chorrey although a slightly wornout song on the radio........hubby loves this one to death though.

Overall, a good release I think.

Must say Mel, I actually agree with ALL of that! :-s

2 and 4 are standout.... members LOVE 4 and its got the best T4 for a while I rekon!

Bit over T5 & T6 ..

T6 is soo much like T6 from BC34 (Shutup & Drive) and I hate the whole "sidekick to the front" business! =;

Agreed, but since I'm not allowed to mix anymore (except for a very very short period), it's kinda like mixing a track in from the past...........except this song is better :)
