Got a great email tonight, on September the 4th I am booked in for the Bady Attack Tech Intensive course here in the UK and my trainer is ...... Lisa Osbourne!!!!!!!!
Yepshe is over for our major quarterly workshop on the 6th and she is taking the first ever Attack technique intensive course here in the UK, its been labelled the world launch so maybe it will be hitting other shores soon. Will give you all the details after I have done it.
I did the combat Technique intensive ran by Tanya Walker in January and that was brilliant, however on the same day they are running combat again with Rach doing it

Thought id add something after being on this course the AIM module launch in the UK.
Lisa was awesome and only found out last weekend she landed in the UK at 10pm the night before the 8.30am start and had food poisoning (you couldn't tell) did the whole course upto 6pm and a master class at the gym at 6.30.
Challenges to look forward too the challenge of 100 pressups, 100 burpees, 100 high leg kicks and most of all 4minutes of holing a perfect plank with pump bar on your back to ensure you dont cheat.... total torture.
Got taped up to hold in perfect posture, thick tape across shoulders to waist diagonally and one down the back, really good keep meaning to do it before a class as it really helps identify when you move out of alignment
When they launch next year in the UK and you want to improve your technicque and perfromance its worth every penny

What happened to Pro-Instructor in Oz? Have they ditched that program?
Yeah Pro-Instructor is long gone.
Last year we did Technique Intensives which had a challenge component, but that was a half-day program drilling technique. So in otherwords, standing in a studio with Dean Lightbody looking in a mirror and repeating the moves again and again. Was such a beneficial day.
And now there's the Advanced Instructor Modules which they've just launched and are a 2 day program, but so far (given they only started in 2010) only Day 1 is available.
BodyAttack in Melbourne is on 11th April with Nathan which should be good fun. Painful, but fun lol.

WHy do they keep changing it? what was wrong with Pro-instructor?
First it was AIM, then it was pro-instructor, then it's AIM again but with a different aim. Then they have AIm overseas aswell, which isn't the same AIM as Australia.
confused...

Les Mills International have re-made the AIM for each program, which have launched this year in Australia and New Zealand, then to be expanding worldwide throughout the year.
I think it's part of their standardisation process (such as clothing lines lol) so that one country hasn't got an Intensive, but another has AIM... now they all have AIM which have been developed by the Program Directors, and strengthens the whole international aspect of the LM family.

Great idea. I think standardisation is something that LM really needs, particularly after my experience with the Dutch LM agent. I'm really curious to see how LMI goes getting them to change their ways. Standardisation re: mixing, launches, launch dates, international instructors etc could be a good thing. Although not that many instructors going overseas on a regular basis I guess.
I really hope they bring back some of the unique designs they had with the clothing before though. The previous LM NZ store had some really excellent designs.

So an update on AIM 1... we had this last Sunday in Melbourne for BA.
It was such a kickass day - so beneficial, and we had two trainers - Nathan Jones and Amanda Breen - so had plenty of eyes watching us, providing feedback, improvements, and so on.
The challenge was up first - and was a team effort - looking at motivation and team work - and then we were in to the first set of presentations.
I found it really beneficial to have two presentations of the same track - so we were able to focus on our feedback from the first one throughout the rest of the day - as we work through different drills and mirror work, we could work towards making changes.
What I really liked about it - different to the Training and the Technique Intensive from last year - is that it didn't absolutely kill us. Remember that feeling coming home from the training and you're just spent? Well, yes, we were absolutely spent - but not from a challenge focus, but from a working hard focus throughout the day. It is a huge day, but not challenge-focused. Mind you, I was still sore two days later... my Monday Attack made it worse, but my Tuesday Balance loosened it all up... ahhh...
My advice - if an AIM comes to your city; grab the opportunity to go. It's such a worthwhile experience for those wanting to improve, refocus and take their coaching, teaching and classes to a new place.

Marty totally agree Aim is a great thing to do
Mel like Pro Instructor Fitpro here had their own technique Intensive and what is now AIM2 was called PDM (professional development module). As such those of us who did PDM got the chance to do AIM2 discounted or have a work book and pay for submitting a video. I went on AIM2 (in March) the next step from AIM and well worth it.
Ok so LMI have AIM and AIM2 standard around the globe but they havent released video guidelines on what to do after AIM2 to be assesed for Advanced or elite instrutor status yet.
