I had planned on writing an email to Jackie about Christelle and how amazing I think she is! But it seems I just never got around to writing it.

Maybe I will get around to it one day, but I thought I'd just say here how absolutely amazing I think her technique is. The first time I saw her I was just mesmorised by her perfect lines and how good her flexibility is. I had always looked to Jackie as pretty much the best in technique, and the others are good, but humans being humans there are always imperfections (who expects anyone to be perfect anyway?)

But as for Christelle, I must sit down with my videos one day and look closely if I can detect any imperfections in her postures.............I'm impressed! :great:

Technique yes I agree - very impressive.

I am not as impressed by her teaching skills though and for me this overshadows the excellence of her technique on the DVDs to the extent that I find myself thinking that the only reason she is on stage is that she is Corey's wife.

The other guy on the current DVD - can't remember his name - his technique is more like a normal human - i.e. you can see hime needing to take the easier options - but I find his teaching style and tone of voice so much better.

I agree Mel, she has fantastic technique. I don't mind her teaching style either. I'd need to watch and pay attention more carefully to have a really good opinion, but I remember liking her more this 2nd time around.

I think she is fantastic - just giving one more example of role model teaching. There will always be presenters that resonnate more with one group of us than others, so it is good to see the different styles of teaching out there.

what don't you like about her teaching? The only thing I find is that it is very obvious that English is her second language.

I can say first hand that teaching in another language is far more difficult than teaching in your own native language.

But apart from that, is there anything else I've missed?

I quite enjoy Christelle because she teaches at the level I am at present, simply because English is her second language, so she gives the right info at the right time without too much explanation. With some of the other presenters, I find myself getting stressed about providing all that info within the moves, so then I stuff up (not sure if I'm making sense 8-[ ). So, for me, esp just starting out with Balance, she assists me the most in teaching.

Plus, I am a sucker for accents, love them!
