Hey guys,
First time writer, long time viewer....... O:)
Just wondering - I have my Attack training this weekend (EEEEEK) and I was having a little stress to myself last night about the push up challenge.
I tried to do as many press ups on my toes in a minute as I could (and I'm not posting how many I achieved cause it's not that good in my opinion!!! #-o )........is there a certain level (like 20 in a minute!?) that you need to achieve in order to 'pass' this challenge? Just so I have some kind of clue and something to *attempt* to work towards, just so the person taking the module doesn't think I'm completely crap and fail me? :-s
Appreciate any help!

Rach,
From memory, there was no set amount. They were full-range, chest-to-floor push-ups, as many as you could do within a minute. You're paired up, so your partner plays a big part in motivation.
My trainers actually watched us for the whole weekend, not just for the challenges. I think as long as you're giving it your all, then you will be fine

I don't remember a pushup challenge on it's own in my training. We had an overall challenge which included pushups of course.
But the challenge wasn't about pass or fail, it was about hardcore pushing yourself to the limit. As placebo said, the trainers watch you the whole weekend, not just your presentations or challenges. If you remember that and not slack off in between (they will see that) and just give 100% the whole time then you will be fine.
Someone also said something once which I thought was a very good thing to remember when you're doing a training. I wish I could remember exactly how it was said, but it was something like this: Just remember that you are all there to learn to be instructors, you are not there being assessed as a perfect instructor.
I think also, during my pro-instructor training, our Master Trainer said something like, you cannot learn and be brilliant at the same time.........so just focus on the learning bit.
I hope that helps?

Hey guys,
Thanks for the feedback, sorry my reply was so latecoming..........
Soo........had the Module over the weekend........OMG.
Pushups - just went hard out and I think I was making some pretty unsexy noises when I was doing them.....oh well, it worked!
Was close to tears in the BODY ATTACK fitness challenge yesterday, so intense! Then we had to run up and down stairs a couple of times  I think the fact that I am having trouble sitting down for prolonged periods is testiment to how hard it was (all I can feel is my butt and my thighs!!) but I PASSED! George gave me great feedback so I'm feeling pretty confident for here on in......couple of technique thingys to work on but Im overall happy. And extremely happy that I took today off work :-D
Now, if you can excuse me, I need a massage.

Congrats on passing Attack training!!!! I took the module in January 2009 and got Pass Withheld - and I teach Pump and RPM so I am familiar with instructing. I'm getting ready to do my video now that I have worked out some technique issues.
Attack training was the hardest thing I have ever done - MUCH HARDER than running a half marathon! The pushups weren't my challenge - it was those damn plyos! I wanted to either throw up or wet my pants (I did neither) - that's how challenging the fitness challenge was!
CONGRATS on passing the training! :-)

Congrats on passing!!! Enjoy your instructorship
Agree with CuteZ3, Attack training was the hardest thing I've ever gone through. Man, memories...
I was exempted from the pushups challenge because- get this- all the punishment pushups we had to do on the slippery wood floor blistered and ripped up the palms of my hands. Yeah.
