I wondered how I had no idea Marena did Combat.

I should have clicked too, since I knew you had Nic for combat. Lucky you. :P

BC33 with Dave Brummer.

LOVED the release to train on and still remember the first track I ever taught (Behind The Cow) even though I haven't really taught it since...

This brought back many unfond memories of my training (23)

If only I had been someone who had done many years of Tae Kwon do and Karate. Instead of that "mother" who had done a few years of full-on boxing training. In the trainers words "I don't like mothers, they don't focus, and I don't like boxers, they can't teach Combat" Two strikes and I was out

Took me a looooong time to add another program to my teaching repertoire after that!

wow did your trainer actually say that? Can't tell if you're implying that you actually had the same trainer as me or not?

If so, doesn't surprise me if he said that. The trainer I had was reported to have told a girl during her feedback, while watching her video and in front of everyone.........he told her to go and buy a better bra.

I understand a lot of complaints have been made about him.

Dear lord! What awful, unprofessional, humiliating things to say. I kind of hope this is the same person, because I don't want there to be more than one person like that! I hope the complaints are taken seriously and this person has their ass firmly kicked. And I sincerely hope you've both put it behind you - a person like that is clearly a douchebag who has no idea what they're on about!

Sadly, there is another trainer out there like that. The trainer spent the whole 3 days absolutely ripping me to shreds over technique, teaching ability, and personal stuff.

It was humiliating, and I went home each day in tears because it was so 'personal'. The thought of complaining to Les Mills about it never entered my head, as l was just starting my Les Mills career and didn't want to labelled a troublemaker.

Hi! I trained on BC30 with Angel Santiago....he's now the USA Protrainer for Combat (I believe that's the right title)...and since Mel already listed when she trained in BodyBalance, I trained in BodyFlow (Flow in the USA) on release 42 with Kurt Gesteland. I have to say both my trainings were phenomenal. I was lucky to have brilliant and encouraging trainers both times and I learned so much. Makes me eager to forge ahead for a third program (maybe Pump?).

WHAT!?!?! Are you KIDDING??

Thats not only a bad trainer, that guys just an A**.

The underwear you have on doesn't change your technique or coaching so what does it matter. That would imply that if Rachel taught combat nude, she would not be as good..... clearly not the case.

(Obviously Rach would be better nude. 8-[ )

Placebo - is the trainer you had still in Les Mills? At least I know Mel's has long gone. I did have the pleasure of working for him for a short time. I can't believe he ever got where he did - he has real social problems.
