I just started watching my DVD. So far so good.
Being pregnant, I have to say I am delighted that the Core - Back track has no lying on your tummy. Yippee for me. :)
I just may teach this one forever.

I realised after I posted that I meant to ask you which older tracks also had no yummy lying.
Bummer that it is 17. I have notes for 16 and 18 only.

After reviewing my DVD for a couple of times, still pondering what does not seems to be right for me.

Is it because Dave and Corey wearing only shorts in the elegant and beutiful Flowing Balance that bothers me, or, the tough core training, from past Commando Crawls, now into Commando in-out and the non T7 even up? Just Commando Lost?

Or, the Southern Hemisphere's taping condition was just contractictory to mine geograhpic location? Watching them in shorts in my cold winter times.....Ghhhhhhhhhhhhhhr!

But got to salute to all the splendid moves blended with charming lyrics and music. Going to fall in love again soon.

Ok - well I have finally given this new release a few goes in my lounge room and here is my basic run down:

Tai Chi - Nice song though I do get sick of them reusing stuff - anyway....The moves are really amazing and beautiful but I worry that the participants might get a bit arm tangled as it is pretty complicated. Nice to have the snake and crane move back after a long absence.

Sun Sals - Really cool - I love the striking cobra. It is a good basic sun sals that has a point of difference without being really intricate.

SS - Nice cool new moves. The leaning W1 with arms behind your back is a little uncomfortable if you have a bit of a flubber around your belly! I really like the Ext Warrior challenge with the reach forward.

Balance - Nice - so sick of Seal it's ridiculous....Good moves and the squat with heals up is a wicked challenge!

Core tracks - Both pretty good - I love the music, really takes Balance energy to a different level. I was not too pleased with the leg circles in the back track as they contradict many Pilates principles but yes, they are effective regardless.

Twists - Really nice song and I love the intense pose with a twist and then transition to standing twist! It has been in so many releases bu I am still not tired of it!

Frd Folds - IMO, the best one in a long time. I also love Crystelle's presentation, she is cool!

Other thoughts people??!!
If you want to move something, you got to move it with your mind!!!!

tilley - I am glad I read your post. I only launched last night, but I realised I am doing the W1 with lean forward wrong. I left arms up above our heads. I knew it didn't feel right. And no wonder my arms got tired.

The tai chi totally confuses me. I have never practised a single track so much and still not felt like I've got it.
Luckily, the participants seem to follow ok, but I am really not getting the right feel.
Some tai chi totally zones me out, where as this one doesn't have the natural flow I love. Hopefully I can get it.

Special, I'm the same with this tai chi. I practise and practise, and STILL don't do it the same way twice. It's really annoying me ](*,)

yeah this tai chi is a bit weird..........I felt a bit like a spastic doing it at the workshop. Haven't practiced it yet though, since we don't launch here until 1 April.............a long wait!

I launched this release 10 days ago and have taught it seven times so far (eighth time tonight). Agree with comments about tai chi. I am only now getting it close to right. Practiced for three days in front of mirror. I really like it but the members find it so confusing. Sun Sals. I love love love it but it is the track I mess up the most. Not sure why. It's not exactly hard to remember. All the other tracks I love. This would have to be my most favourite realease since 37 (my last favourite).
As for the forward folds, I'm in heaven. I agree with you Tilley. One of the best for a long time.

My problem. I am going to submitt my DVD for certification again on this release. Am nowhere near it yet. Have to get track one timing right and as for track two, well, I just have to get it right. At least my classes find it funny. They mark me on whether I get it right and what I say when I mess it up. lol

In a quick preview before track 1, i show participants the three steps to the tai chi - CIRCLE the head, DRAW the sword from behind your back, TURN through your feet. Each move triggers the start of the next move - CIRCLE, DRAW, TURN - CIRCLE, DRAW, TURN. People seem to get it very quickly.

I might also say to participants that the arm that CIRCLES the head settles behind the back, and the other arm DRAWS the sword from behind with an extended arm so you swing a strong straight blade to shoulder height.

I'm liking this release - it didn't take much to learn it - the only negative feedback has been about Seal for Balance (Seal again), plus the moves feel disjointed.

Good call on the preview - and great keywords for cues.

I teach it with a "don't think, just do" focus. A couple of reps later, the whole class got it.

I actually really liked the tai chi, although it took me a while to catch on. But then, maybe that's because I'm not teaching it. And I was happy to see that move in the balance track -what's it called? The one where you have your leg in a 90 degree angle and one hand pushing up and the other to your side. That was in a warm up years ago, right?
