BODYBALANCE 44 is both physically challenging and mentally engrossing, providing you with a truly internal experience that has plenty of options. Linger in the strong, beautiful movements of track 1 with the sword dance-inspired choreography. Conjure One's stunning song Make A Wish allows you to leave your day behind and really centre yourself.

Sting's Desert Rose provides the inspiration needed to master the new move in track 2 - the striking cobra. There's a big workout and big emotion in track 3 to a big song - India Arie's The Heart Of The Matter. Your inner strength empowers your legs as you move through three sequences and learn three new poses.

Amy Winehouse's Valerie provides the time needed to chill out and catch your breath before you get to up the ante in track 6 with a short sting of core abdominals. Moby's Disco Lies offers different musical inspiration to what you'd expect in a BODYBALANCE class. The hip remix of Nina Simone's The Look Of Love in track 7 will have you singing along, before moving into track 8 which starts quietly with a new pose - the bent knee twist. This is very relaxed so you can breathe and warm your spine with a gentle twist. You'll love the long-held half forward fold in track 9 and the expression of opening to the side bend - soft then strong. There's plenty of time to progressively deepen into each pose before you relax to Kate Voegele's Lift Me Up.

Wow, Desert Rose is coming back! Awesome. Today Janne and I did balance in the lounge room for New Years Day, after a late night last night. At the end we did Sun Sals for her again and did Desert Rose cuz it's her favourite music........I bet she'll be happy as soon as she finds out this track is coming back!

Wow, another physical challenging release?! Can it beat 41?

Any other tips on other tracklist?

Cannot wait for it, BB43 is getting bored....

And, WOW to Mel's angel, she seems to be so adorable..... Now I need to work on my own baby issue, should I cut some Balance class to spend more quality time with my loved one, or, does it matter?

Oh yes, it beats 41 plenty!

"Desert Rose" is awesome, I love (I wasn't around yet the last 2 times it was in BB)! It's a basic sunsalutation with something I would call a "Cobra Pullback" ... ;-)

Track 3 is the hardest standing strength I've ever done... about 9 minutes. I could feel that one in my butt cheecks for about 3 days...

I especially love the abs track, next to also being a hard track it has fantastic music. Last time I heard that song was when I went clubbing... I'll say this... it's Moby again, but not what you'd expect...

Dan!

Ok,

lol to myself... I'm being all secretive about the abs track... but says what it is in the sizzler... :-)

Moby and not what you expect for balance.... that must be "feeling so real". :-({|=
Maybe that is too unexpected and too much for balance, "disco lies" is great btw :)

It really sounds like an interesting release. For now I am still enjoying 43.

Cheers,
Helen

Oh and for those who wanna know who's teaching:

Corey, Crystelle, Dr.Dave, Emma and Ann-See from the UK. Jackie didn't teach because she was in wedding prep for her daughter...

Sorry, I was what you wrote. I just didn't read prutser's post properly. I only saw the first line.

I saw what you wrote. Dude, my typing is worse than my reading comprehension.

Can someone shed a light on Track 3 music? What kinds of music can hold up to 9 min in standing strength and match the power?

Getting really curious.....

And after practice, the butt was soring for 3 days? Isn't this too exaggerating or true?

It'll probably be a double track - i.e. same song repeated twice.

Well in BodyFlow 37, we had slightly less than 7 minutes of Standing Strength - 2 songs Radio On and Call me When You're Sober. That was an AWESOME Strength track. Probably my favorite EVER! So Adding another 2 minutes on top of that would be brutal unless there are some breaks like we have had recently with Forward Folds or something. But personally I would love nine straight minutes of leg torture! My classes... not so sure they'd agree. I say bring it on!

Track 3 is 8:15... and is the same song repeated. It's a very calming and focused song, perfect for track 3

Balance 34 had an INXS song that went for around 8 minutes and Jackie said that was a first at the time. Was pretty cool!

I like it more when the song gets repeated rather than 2 diferent songs....

Of course in those days they were allowed to edit the song together into one long 8 minute epic with no joing (even though it was effectively the same song twice - whereas now we have that annoying little gap as it stops and then starts again.

yeah I just hate that annoying little gap..............I wonder if it's worth LM insisting on continuing to use "original" songs?

I think I'd prefer a gap over a dodgy remix. Just listening to Step 74 is enough to make me hate the very idea of remixes.

Learn it, know it, show it! The Secret is out!

Just finished up our 2009 Q1 training, all day from 830am till 8pm. I am stiff now.

But with Balance 44 this time, I found it was not that scary as most people said about the butt. I felt it was my abdominal and oblique that are really soring. All those lunging and hands, and feet-all around, it was a killer.

Anyway, before I hit the bed, just want to say Thank U, Lord, for bringing me another wonderful release. I can now hang on to my miseable life a bit longer with a bit peace of mind and body.

Thank you, LMI team. You are the best!
