Have we nothing to say on this release? (Not that I can talk, but I've been so busy with finishing uni, amongst learning a stack of chereo  )
But anyway, launched this yesterday, they loved it! Track 4 and 7 were a big hit, nothing like a bit of sing along. I tell you, teaching this straight after teaching Attack was tough going, the repeaters felt a bit wobbly in track 1 hehe
What are you thoughts?

We launched this past weekend. I didn't participate because of my broken butt, however I DID teach Step this morning and it was well received. Tracks 5 was the standout, although one woman came up after class to tell me she would never look at the song the same way again because it was SO HARD. A few others came up to comment on how tough the peaks were...track six and ten got them puffing lots and nine was straight up wicked work.
I thought I would hate 6, because the music is pretty heinous (IMO) but it fits with the chore SO well that I am won over. I think the class was working too hard to pay attention to Trixie's slightly whiny, annoying voice. Whew! Even though I did bust out with a GO GO SPEED GO at one point. I even enjoyed when the speed racer theme came back in track 10 and when I had first looked at the release I thought "oh HELL no".
I gave up one of my Step classes because of my injury, so now I'm bummed that I have to wait until next Monday to teach this release again. But considering my entire hip is aching atm, I guess it's a good thing.

do you use a towel for extra padding under your hips? I find that really helps. And also I really have to concentrate on using my abs for that track, particularly the work on the side. To be honest, I wasnt really watching the participants when I watched the DVD but I'll have another look!
Yeah, the peaks in this release are really tough! I agree JCo, the speed racer thing, particularly when it came back in track 10, just listening to it was like, oh here we go, but when you physically do it, its a bit different. Must be something to do with adrenalin

Did this a few weeks ago for the first time at the Quarterly, am not a big fan of track 4 choreo, but I love the song. Not sure that I like the speedracer theme, but I agree that you are working too hard to notice, LOL. I imagine I too will bust out ina random "GO GO SPEED GO!!". Track 5 is awesome, painful I must say! Lovin the squats

Speed Racers take your marks, get ready, GO! Youll zoom through BODYSTEP 74 with some hot new moves, cool new sounds and plenty of tough lower body work to really rev your engine!
Theres a new move in Track 4 the Revolving Door. This has the same footwork as a Basic Step but you rotate around the step. Track 5 really works the legs and butt with lots of jumping on top of the step to the old-school sounds of Boom! Shake The Room.
Move with control and let the music speak in Track 6 which is a simple, athletic track that really makes you want to drive like a maniac! Youll be able to use the sounds of the cars racing and the Speed Racer story to excite and motivate your class to work hard. The lyrics Go speed go will drive your participants to their personal best.
The two combinations in Track 8 Chassé Around The Step and Swivel Combo will keep you on your toes before powering into the Speed Step. Listen for Speed Racer making a surprising return at the end of Track 10 to race you to the finish line!
Look for a fresh way to challenge your butt and core in Track 11 with three new moves the Hip Opener Combo, the Heel Drop and the Oblique Reach!
And youre going to love our bonus Christmas track which will definitely spread some festive cheer to your BODYSTEP participants
