Hi Steppers!

I'd love to hear some ideas about how to increase class numbers in Body Step. I've been teaching for 5 years and my class numbers have been really low lately. I am pretty sure I'm a good instructor - whenever I sub at other gyms I get tons of people saying "great class" and "when/where do you teach?" And I've had nothing but good feedback from our Body Step coach and group fitness directors, etc. (And I pack the room when I teach Body Pump and RPM so I know I do a good job cueing, motivating, etc.) But at my home gym the step program just isn't doing well :( We have a tough location - downtown urban area in a very transient city. Lots of young people who travel a lot for work and stay in their jobs for just a short amount of time before moving around or out of the area. There is a lot of turnover at the gym in general, and that doesn't help class numbers at all. Any suggestions? I really want to make Step work at my home gym! Thanks for your help!

What about ' friends for free' ??

When we have release day, members can bring in their friends to try out any of the LM programs for free - the main studio is always 'packed' on that day with plenty of people trying out the various classes.

Perhaps your gym can put on a couple of 'free' classes where people can try Step?
