I don't know who the trainer is going to be, but I'm hoping its REVS. That reminds me to send REVS a message to encourage him to do a bunch ride this Sunday.
On Sunday, I rode 170k so I've got the endurance for the training, I've just got to remember to shove large quantities of food and water into me

Thursday 6.15am Rockdale FF, Sydney
Nah, not that bad, I'll just be sitting beside the instructor, not doing anything.

Thanks Danika
Set the alarm for 5.30am, got up at 5.20am (who needs alarms), left at 5.45am and rode thru light rain.
Arrived at Rockdale FF at 6am, changed my clothes, put the bike on the stand and did the deed at 6.15am
Yes I was conscious of cadence, but what I did wrong was matched the wrong leg, I should of matched left with left, which makes a lot of sense once you are told, pity I didn't know before.
Rode home, had breakie, rode to work.
During the morning I had an SMS conversation with another instructor (and actually squeezed some work in too  ) Discovered that there is a dominant beat and I didn't know about that. Some other tips too.
Went to Park st FF and did 12.15pm RPM, told instructor before of my team teaching and how I need to learn the dominant beat. During the class I'd match my cadence to the instructor, including the correct leg, ie right with right and then I'd look away while listening to the beat.
Should of paid attention during music lessons back at school.....That's the problem with Coed.

Just a thought........there could be a reason why you're using the wrong leg. It's the age old LM instructor mirror image problem. When you were on the floor you would have been mirroring your instructor perfectly. Now you're on stage next to him you have to switch legs.
It's a lot easier with programs like pump and rpm with the mirror image thing. it's not really present in those programs

2 of the instructors have given me music/cadence lessons and its being invaluable, I recon that understanding the music is going to be my greatest hurdle.

Did Revs class the other day, he doesn't know if he's training me or not. Revs did a track from 39 and apparently its got the highest cadence of any rpm track at 142.
BTW Merry Christmas

And happy birthday (tomorrow) Danika
