The brand new Roppongi Line Dance comes all the way from Tokyo. Created at 4am in party mad Roppongi, it's Line Dancing BODYJAM styles! A thumping track from Janet Jackson takes you into the Hip Hop block that'll get the flava bouncing in your club as you recreate that Velvet Rope-Dancer feel.
Contemporary Rock is back, this time with a harder, edgier sound from Rage Against The Machine and The Prodigy. This will stimulate your senses, ignite your inner dance and challenge your perceptions of what can be achieved in a group fitness class. You'll wanna throw yourself into the Butterfly Jump which may just be the most beautiful jump ever seen in BODYJAM.
Recover to the beautiful R'n'B track by The Dream before sounds from all around the world (Paris, Miami, Sweden and Germany) transport us into Global Electro. The stepping 70s' Disco style of Jocelyn Brown provides the perfect Groove Down for BODYJAM 45 - coming at ya from the Les Mills Global Summit.

Although I can definitely say I cannot wait for Jam 45 ! ! !
The music is the same high quality mix from start to finish, and there is not one song I can't listen to over and over...
The butterfly jump is definitely the most beautiful jump seen in Jam before, just wait until you get to have a go - pre-33-jam was NEVER like this !
Rage Against the Machine features here and was one of the tracks that was compulsory for this particular Contemporary Rock track. Without RATM, there was no contemporary rock in Jam 45... RATM even said no to LMI using the track, until G sent them a demo vid.
As some of the instructors will be aware, this release was not filmed in Studio 1 of Les Mills Auckland (NZ). This time it was filmed up the hill a little in the Sky Tower conference venue, so the look and feel of the masterclass will be quite different.

I'll be going for Jam training next month (finally!) and we'll be trained on 45, but it won't have been launched yet so I'll have NO idea what the release is like. Maybe you could give your opinions on the release. Are there many turns? Obviously the butterfly jump sounds like something that will need plenty of practice. Any other tricky moves to prepare for?
Thanks! If all goes well, I'll be switching my profile level to "Instructor" soon

Zemien: Did workshop and I am watching the DVD atm so I would say that the challenge is to change your style and feel in every block. And there are lots of different infulences in this release. And then it's always if you are trained in something some parts are going to be easier and some more diffuclt. Like I'm a jazz/conteporary based so I really need to practise that very up beat Golbal Electro house feel. It feels so weird right now to move so... bouncy!
But most def this is not the easiest one to learn or to be trainer in.
C'mon prove it, nothing to it
C'mon use it, let's get through it
C'mon push it, you can do it

Xander: "It feels so weird right now to move so... bouncy!"
--> Wasn't 41 and 42 plenty of bouncing too?
"But most def this is not the easiest one to learn or to be trainer in."
--> I consider this a badge of honour. If I can pass in 45, I shouldn't have problems with any other release!

Yeah, but this time there's even more that "house bounce" and stomping and stuff but then it's not pure House coz we have arm cobos etc. At least this is the feel I got.
I just taught the first part this morning and it was rather easy to learn, first I expected it to take much more time. And it went really well, practised it couple of times in front of mirror and got the styles. But as I expected the challenge here is to change your style like after every four minutes. :-D

release(45) .
I felt the last few releases were a bit too easy, but this one leaves me salivating.
The music, the moves, the jumps - a real showcase of dance explosion. It almost feels like
the climax of bodyjam as we know it! im very apprehensive the next release wont be as good...
Where to from here ? Can it get any better?
This release almost makes me feel like a real dancer! , but i wont be quitting my dayjob....just yet.
