Do You Have Or Use Dancefloor Lighting In Your Bodyjam Class ? Time for a new Poll

Now this may be for one class out of a timetable of 16 classes...
Or it may be that you have one studio only, but all your classes are during the day, so dancefloor lighting is not feasible.
But tell me with a yes or no - "When you are in your BODYJAM class, do you have or use Dancefloor lighting for effect ?"
If you answer yes in the poll, please post what type of dancefloor lighting you have.

yeah that sort of lighting.
The primary reason for my post was to see what kind of dancefloor lighting you use. The club that I go to that does have lighting has the mirror ball and par-can stage lighting as you guys both describe, but they are not connected to the music by any means.
The club I teach at is looking at adding several new things to our GF studio:
* Blackout curtains for classes such as Jam and Balance where the effect of being in a club, or being centered within yourself is important.
* Adding new sound system with a centralised speaker system (rather than on the walls) in the centre of the room on the ceiling.
* Dancefloor lighting so we don't have to hire it out.
The idea of our dancefloor lighting is to have a mirror ball and pin spots

And some basic dance floor lights

Depending on costs, we may go for something like this

The thing is of course that it all needs to go through our budgets and get approved... but it is looking promising, and the club has come to realise the importance of our seven GF classes from LMI, plus the other eight we also have on our timetable.
For those jammers who also do RPM, we currently have our bikes in the main studio and we are looking to move them into their own studio. If that happens, we will also look at adding a projection screen behind the instructor and putting up videos for each of the tracks - e.g. hill climb etc

I use blue lights when I teach Jam. Was really cool when I taught 38 as the room is blue and suited the music very well. Use the same lights for balance as it gives it a nice calming effect. Members love it as they don't have to look at themselves in the mirror.

Yup, we just got dancefloor lights at our gym and they suit BJ oh so well! They're not that fancy but they create the real party atmosphere.
C'mon push it, you can do it
C'mon prove it, nothing to it
C'mon use it, let's get through it

Was going to say....
The venerable BodyAttack crew had a theme class just ahead of my evening gig... and as I dimmed the lights and set the mood, I couldn't for the love of it figure out where the switch for this rather large DISCOBALL was.
Ended up doing an evening Disco BodyBalance class - it felt rather cool and was lots of fun. Does that count?
