It's official,I have registered for BV training. Anyone out there already go through the training? I teach BP and BA, so I have been through a few initial trainings- I am just curious as to how the BV training will differ from BP or BA- more or less rigourous...etc.,
would love to hear from all you BodyVivers!

It's a blast.
Have only done BODYFLOW before, so can't say how it relates to BP or BA.
It's not a very hard challenge however. At least not on the body...
Hope you are training on release 3. Release 2 was a mess, with MANY errors on both the DVD and notes.
As much as I love the program, I think LM should never have allowed release 2 to go out the way it was.
Oh well.
Anyways, have a great time. You will be fizzing with energy!

I did my training a (on release 2) month ago. We did the whole 3 days in a row so we had to learn and present 3 tracks over that time which was a little challenging as I had never seen or done the class before until the first day of training. It's easy enough to learn but of course it would have been better to have had more time to really understand the tracks a lot more deeply before they were presented. Perhaps others got the week apart before their third day? It wasn't really physically draining-although some of the band work, especially the leg lifts, made me know my butt was alive! - but it was quite mentally draining as there was a lot of theory involved in each of the three components (heart fitness, functional strength and core and restore). Some of it was quite new to me (the pilates/yoga movements) but it's coming together. There are 3 of us currently teaching and the members seem to be enjoying it. It's a great alternative type of class to have on the program and pretty much anyone can do it at some level. I wrote more about the training in the "So who's going through the initial training" post. I say definitely do it. It's good to get in at the ground floor of a new program . This will grow and develop and it's a lot of fun to teach!

in2insight- I agree with you about release 2. It was a bit of a mess!

Happy Viving!

i'll be heading for Vive training at the end of this month :)

Very happy. It was such a huge coincidence. I was in the middle of choreographing a freestyle class format as a bridging class for the newbies as well as new-high-impacters at the gyms i teach at who wanted to move to higher impact/more complex choreographed/higher intensity classes but just needed that bridge as a step-up. And then Vive came along and I've waited till now just to see how the releases develop, and I'm very happy with the current format. =D^

I'm really looking forward to delivering this program. I'll let you know after training (i.e. in July) how it went Sofie!

Heaps of clubs are actually getting the license, just that it's been really hush-hush, and they don't want members to know what's happening and then WHAMMO  gonna hit them with a massive launch! Maybe call up a couple of gyms to see if anyone is taking on Vive and is happy to endorse you?

 LOL yes, it has been very well kept under wraps! I'm looking really forward to their launch though, it sounds like its going to be a blast! They launch either the day after my training or the week after i think. I'm really excited about it! Can't wait to let the members in on what's going on!!!...it'll be 2-3 more weeks at least before we can say anything! -.-" They've been kind enough to sign me endorsement slip off, and training is with Marena, so its just bonus bonus bonus all around!

Ooh, Vive in Melbourne. I am getting excited. ;D

When it becomes public knowledge, would you be able to PM me and le me know which gym? I would love to try it out.
I haven't been able to do it at workshop... 3 programs and a little guy that relies on me for food every 3 hours seems to give me a lot less time these days.

yes Special absolutely!

will definately keep you updated!

LOL Vive will be my third program. There are 2 other programs I have in mind to train in, but at this point I'm thinking "am i going to be able to cope with 5 programs???". Keeping in mind though that Attack and Vive would probably be relatively easy choreography-wise. I memorize Attack in a snap. and Balance just takes a couple of practice sessions, scripting, and a bit of taping to check my technique. I'd like to do Jam or Combat (or both) LOL but both (particularly Jam) is quite "heavy" in terms of time required to learn, and being the perfectionist i am i would take as long as necessary to really NAIL it. Would like to do the programs justice, so its that whole dilemma lol. To do, or not to do?

LOL! I am like that about Vive. As much as I would love to do it... Fulltime job, overtime requiring travel, classes every evening plus a double on Sunday mornings and a family to care for. I was very keen to do Vive but I am not sure where I will find the time.

But you know "the" club will probably snap you up when you train so we'll be colleagues!!!

LOL its 2 (less than 2 actually) days to training. I was pretty calm before with regards to Vive, it was more a case of reading up my other manuals to brush up my cues, phrasing and planning etc. But now, i'm starting to get pretty pumped. Particularly since the club is kinda buzzing, members are blasting out the questions, everyone's quite excited! :D/

I loved this training did it in February. The benefits based cueing has really helped me in my other programs as well. Enjoy!

Based on all your comments, I just signed on for BV training in August. Very looking forward to it.

Glad to see more Melbourne gyms licensing this, but not enough (especially if you take away Fernwood which I can't teach at).

I hope you get to keep the Vibe ball after the training for practice purposes?

I was supposed to go through training back in May, but our club decided not to launch until later in the year (I went to Attack training instead.)

Now, I am going to the BV training at the end of August with four other instructors from our gym. I'm so excited! Plus, as a BS and BA instructor, I need to teach something a little less intense

Our training in Melbourne is scheduled for next weekend, but Les Mills Asia Pacific is still waiting for enough numbers before they decide whether or not to run. I hope they do, but if not, may have to wait until the end of the year... :(

Just came back from BodyVive training in Jacksonville, FL. What a great program! So much fun! I teach BodyAttack and BodyStep and this is a program that I need just to give my body a rest. We won't be launching until October at my gym and we'll be lauching BV3. They just charged my card for AutoShip so now I'm gonna have to pay full price for BV4 :(

Somebody shoot me!

I can't believe this, but I've just registered for the BodyVive training in SA this weekend.

This will be my 5th program........eeek.

Don't worry, I won't teach 5 programs simultaneously........4 is my limit at one time, I know my brain can't take anymore. But this will make me more versatile ;)
