Dvd Presenters. Who do you like?

For me it's not so much what they do...but what they say. Do you find that some things just stick in your head, and everytime you teach that track it just comes out?
Mine is Lory (USA presenter) in BB33 right at the transition between strength and balance says "coming into balance, feet together, I'm Lori". I always wonder why she felt the need to introduce herself part-way into the intro of the track? But evertime I teach it I remember what she says!
And in the same release I've gotta try really hard to not speak in Laurence's French accent "rise and turn" in the Sun Sals!
Maybe it's just the voices in my head!

This made me laugh. I remember being worried that I was going to say "belly in, tail under" in a French accent, as she said it dozens of times, and it stuck in my head. I thought she was a lot of fun though, and did a wonderful job of the tai chi warm up.
I love Anita, but did have to stop myself saying "bend your knees heaps". Definitely her catchphrase.

Pam - I knew you would say something about Anita!! I really like her, I find her voice and style really calming and I like that she is a dancer!
I would have to say that I don't think that Jackie's technique is perfect all the time .... In BB29 her arms are way too high in her warrior 2 and also in the back track she completely defeats the purpose of the side lying sequence based on Pilates. I am definitely no expert and she does certainly seem to be getting a lot of good technical advice these days (ie from yoga (Vincent) and Pilates (Corey)). Anyway, my point is that you can't 100% rely on any presenters/trainers because everyone has faults and their own style that influences their technique.
Yes, the worst presenter would have to be Kylie, I really don't think she embodies the spirit of BB at all and she should stick to Attack and Jam! Just coz you can doesn't mean you should!
I love the guy from BB32 - can't remember his name. Also liked Dionne and the other Aussie guy from 40. It would be good to just stick to 3 presenters though in each dvd so we can learn a little more of their style and essence rather than 4 or five where they only do a few tracks each....

I loved Matt (the other Aussie guy.) He was my trainer though, so I knew I would like him. He seemed to really enjoy himself, which I think makes a huge difference.
I have seen Dione present and I normally like her, but on the DVD she comes across a bit robotic. Well that's not quite the right word. She definitely said all the right things at the right time, I just prefer a more chilled out style.

Do you mean Matt Saddler, who's actually a UK guy living in Aussie, who's back in the UK.........who I think could be going back to Aussie?
He's great. I had to ring LMAP about my certification videos once, and I spoke to him on the phone. I had the most hilarious conversation ever. I definately couldn't get angry about the fact they'd sent me two combat certificates and didn't send my pump cert...........he was just too funny I forgot about the problems.
Kylie, not sure what she's like on the last BB she did...........but I have to say one of the worst presentations I've seen is from Lee on BB35.

I do not click with Lee's style at all, Mel. I am glad he hasn't popped up in a while.
I actually don't listen to the tracks he presents because his one word computer prompts bug me too much.
I get the idea of very simple cues, and I think it can be effective when done sparingly.

yeah I wasn't impressed with his technique either. What really worried me at the time was the number of people who commented on his good technique.........very worrying.
When I listen to the tai chi of BB35 I always remember "weight in the front leg, weight in the back leg...........weight in the front leg, weight in the back leg...........weight in the....."

What was the name of the other male presenter besides Dr.Dave in BB41? I thought he taught the tracks really well. I think every presenter's technique is polished, otherwise they wouldn't be there in the 1st place. I only found one thing a little teeny weeny bit annoying on Lee - his breathing. I thought it was really loud, like he was almost gasping for air.
Loved Anita, i love jackie, had a quarterly this november with dr.Dave in Portugal and he is awesome, amazing cues, flawless technique. I honestly hope they keep the good presenters coming back, but enable the opportunity for new presenters to teach as well. I think we all learn a little bit (or a lot) from each presenter.
