Who do you love to see on the DVDs?
I think Jackie is great and very educational. I have only seen 1 DVD with Ann-see (I probably spelt that wrong) and I thought she was good too.
For some reason, maybe it's because it is much quieter, I find I get annoyed by a few of the presenters voices.
I have never had that with Attack or Step.

I second that!!!
I SO miss them both, and most of all, DR. Dave, without whom I would not have finished the training weekend.

I have to say I prefer Lee a bit more on this release than last release. I just don't like the robot speak.
"Hips low. Feet wide. Sink" It is effective and nice in small little doses but when it is all the time it gets to me.
I feel like saying "Just talk in sentences!"

wow, serious?
I wasn't going to comment publicly because there's some things I just don't like to put out there, but I have an email in mind that I'm going to send to Jackie.
I'm not going to say any more except
Unless you're referring just to his choice of cueing?

How true this is I don't know, but there is just something missing without those two!
Lee is fantastic tech wise, but he just teaches as though he is really fed up and miserable.
Even my hubbie commented on it which must say something

Wow. I'd sure like to find out about that. And I will.
Who cares if he is gay or not. What SHOULD matter is if WE learn anything from him. Does he make us a better teacher.
Are the DVD's not to educate US?
I have little to learn from Lee, big and stright as he MAY be. What was his line once in Tai Chi? Oh, yeah, "Lady wrists". Oh, that is real masculine and non offensive....

As for fave presenters: I love Dr. Dave and Anita -- when they join Jackie, the three make a fabulous trio.
As for the comment re: "lady's wrists" -- that's not a Lee-ism, Jackie uses it as well in educational section (can't even begin to quote what number but let's say it's between DVD #24 and # 36 LOL!) and I have heard it used elsewhere hen referring to a soft wrist.
cheers,

Dr Dave has impeccable technique........and so does Jackie and Anita.
I understand people make mistakes, and I've defended many mistakes that people have discussed on the pump DVD's for example. Not everybody is perfect and particularly in balance some people have personal limitations in their body. However on the other hand I think there are some really simple basic principles that should be corrected and they're not personal limitations.......they're basic raw principles that I drum into my members over and over
If they're not right on the DVD, how can they even possibly be close to right at the end of the chain? These are SIMPLE things that I believe every instructor must notice in themselves, in their classes and coach in their members. They refer to the core essence of the disciplines we're doing.......the heart of pilates and yoga etc.
arrrrgh, this is so hard to write.........I'm being very careful about my choice of words, cuz I refuse to be negative about an individual on an internet forum!

Mel, that is very diplomatic. Thank you for saying it so well.
Perhaps if and when Jackie vistis this forum again she would be willing to set us stright. (No pun)

That's just from reading between the lines though.......I don't want to start any rumours.
I'm not sure she is likely to post about it here, but hopefully LMI will take the feedback on board?
All bodybalance (or flow
Just as an example, in Warrior 3, the leg NEVER goes higher than your butt. It's about being long, not high. Same with pilates moves. Do not do big kicks!!! Looooooong and small, and with the whole leg. The essence of pilates is that bigger is not better.
Better is better
